Mario Vitale joined Nextalia in 2025 as Chief Corporate Affairs & Business Development Officer, bringing with him strong expertise in both institutional relations and business development, as well as in building strategic partnerships. In his role, he works to strengthen Nextalia’s positioning as a leading player in the private markets, supporting the country’s economic growth by coordinating high-impact initiatives with public institutions, regulatory authorities, industrial partners, and policymakers, in line with the company’s long-term strategy.
Previously, he has over ten years of experience in strategic and commercial development across corporate, academic, and third-sector environments.
He served as Chief Sales & Business Development Officer at Digit’Ed (a Nextalia portfolio company) and currently sits on its Board of Directors, where he has overseen commercial development strategies aimed at promoting digital innovation in the education sector. He is an independent member of the Board of Directors of GPI S.p.A., a leader in the HealthTech market. He was General Director of the CDP Foundation, contributing to strengthening its positioning among the leading corporate philanthropy players in Italy. In the third sector, he also served as Chairman of a benefit corporation focused on developing initiatives with high social, economic, and environmental impact.
He also gained significant experience at LUISS University, where he held progressively senior roles, eventually becoming Director of Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement at LUISS Business School. In this capacity, he contributed to the school’s international recognition and promoted dialogue between academia, businesses, and institutions.
He holds a Ph.D. in Management and completed his entire academic career at LUISS Guido Carli University, where he also earned a Post-Doc and a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Management.
