Matteo Verna joined Nextalia in 2026 after approximately eight years of experience in the buy-side sector.

Before joining Nextalia, he held roles of increasing responsibility – from Associate to Senior Vice President within the investment team – at Investindustrial, a private equity firm with more than 35 years of experience and a leading player in the European mid-market segment. Prior to that, he gained experience in private debt at Blackstone, also within the investment team.

Throughout his previous roles, in addition to executing multiple transactions, he served on the Boards of Directors of several portfolio companies – including Targa Telematics, Arterex and Ourvita – focusing on the development, management and monitoring of portfolio companies.

He began his professional career in Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking division in London.

He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master in Finance from Bocconi University.
