GAETANO MICCICHÈ

Gaetano Miccichè is Chairman of Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division from July 2020 and Chairman of Intesa Sanpaolo’s International Subsidiary Banks Division from July 2024.

He started his career in Banca Intesa in June 2002 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in the area dedicated to medium and large-sized Italian companies, as well as large international groups, until his appointment as General Manager and member of the Management Board of Intesa Sanpaolo (2010-2016) and Head of the Corporate and Investment Banking Division of the same institution (2007-2016). He was Chief Executive Officer (2007-2015) and, subsequently, Chairman (2016-2020) of Banca IMI, now integrated into Intesa Sanpaolo. He also served as Managing Director and General Manager of UBI Banca (2020-2021).

He is currently Chairman of Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A, Director of NEVA SGR S.p.A., member of the Strategic Advisory Boards of Neuberger Berman/NB Renaissance Partners Ltd. and Nextalia SGR S.p.A., member of the Scientific Committee of the Politecnico di Milano and member of the Board of Directors of ANSPC – Associazione Nazionale per lo Studio del Credito.

In 2013 he was appointed Cavaliere del Lavoro by the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano.

He holds a degree in Law from the University of Palermo and an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan.
