Francesco Micheli, after an intense activity at the top of the financial and insurance sector, was among the first in Italy to identify significant development potential in the high-tech, telecommunications and genomics sectors, creating start-ups that have become highly successful companies.

He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Genextra and Micheli Associati. He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fastweb, Azimut Libera Impresa SGR and Inbetween SGR, and a member of the Board of Directors of Artemide Group and Coima SGR.
In addition, he sits on the Board of Directors of several companies and cultural and philanthropic organisations including Fondazione Teatro alla Scala, Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, Associazione FerraraMusica (Chairman), MilanoMusica, Amici della Scala, Teatro Parenti, IEN – Istituto Europeo di Neuroscienze (Chairman) and Associazione Convivio (Chairman of the Board).

He graduated in Political Science from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
