ALESSANDRO RIVERA

Alessandro Rivera currently serves as chairman of doValue and MilanoSesto, as well as senior advisor to leading international financial and consulting firms and is a member of the board of the Italian Institute of Technology.

From 2018 to 2023, he served as Director General of the Department of the Treasury, representing Italy in various working groups and committees of major international financial organizations.
In particular, he acted as deputy to the Minister of Economy and Finance in G7, G20 and IMF meetings, was a member and vice-chair of the Economic and Financial Committee (EFC) and part of the European Union’s Euro Working Group, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the European Stability Mechanism. He chaired the EFC subcommittee dedicated to IMF issues.
Between 2008 and 2018, he headed the Treasury’s Banking and Financial System Directorate, dealing with financial sector policy and regulation at national and international levels.

From 2000 to 2008, he led several units within the Treasury’s Banking and Financial System Directorate.
